| Fig 8—You can extend the interpolation/decimation model for synchronous conversion to asynchronous conversion by simply making the interpolation ratio extremely large. As the interpolation ratio increases, the correlation between adjacent interpolated output samples becomes so high that the worst-case change between one interpolated sample and the next is smaller than an LSB of the desired output word length. |
