| A microcontroller's high-speed serial port controls serial-input D/A converters, which, in turn, set the voltage-reference levels for the µC's internal A/D converter. This simple setup, along with some assembler routines (available from the EDN ftp site), yields a more complete characterization of the converter than is available from the manufacturer's literature. |
