These three plots show the membership functions (labels are in tialics) for classifying the methand/hydrogen, acetylene/ethylene, and ethylene/ethane ratios used in the Rogers Ratio analysis method. The actual Rogers Ratio method defines crisp boundaries, indicated below each function, located where the fuzzy functions cross. Using fuzzy functions generates "confidence factors" indicating the strength iwth which each conclusion is asserted.
