| This flow chart indicates how interconnect delay predictions can be made at various levels during the design process. Using a floor-planning tool as part of "design planning" between design synthesis and detailed place and route results in predictions that are an order-of-magnitude better than what can be obtained using statistical wire length data during synthesis.
