LAN module adds Telnet to data-acquisition system

BayTech’s M-Series DAC data-acquisition/control systems now connect to host networks via the V72 Ethernet module. The module leverages the TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) to support 60 concurrent Telnet sessions over 10BaseT or 10Base2 connections.

The M-Series family provides a cost-effective, building-block approach to data-acquisition/control systems. Prices for base units range from $495 for three slots to $1195 for 16 slots. Available modules include digital I/O, A/D and D/A converters, event monitors, serial interfaces, and modems. The V72 Ethernet module costs $595. -- by Maury Wright
