Inductors Suit Step-Down Regulators.

Suiting use with National Semiconductor’s Simple Switcher step-down voltage regulators, this line of inductors gives you a choice of 34 models for pc-board mounting. All units meet UL Class B 130°C requirements and withstand wave or IR soldering and solvent baths. Power Toroidal Inductors.

Built with gapped ferrite cores, the VMGPT vertical-mount power toroidal inductor comes in 29 values ranging from 5.6 to 1200 µH and six sizes, as dictated by inductance. Surface-Mount Transformer Suits PCMCIA Fax Modems.

With a package height of just 0.172 in., the SM73628 surface-mount transformer fits neatly on PCMCIA V.34 fax/modem cards. Key specifications include a frequency response of ±0.25 dB maximum from 300 to 3500 Hz and THD of –82 dB maximum at 600 Hz. With ratings of 350 and 400V dc, the MLP series of capacitors can put 25J of energy storage on the dc input bus of a switch-mode power supply in 0.5 in. of height. These higher voltage additions to the MLP line come in 0.5×1.75×3- and 0.5×1.75×1.5-in. case sizes. Capacitance values for the line range from 150 to 47,000 µF, and voltage ratings start at 7.5V dc. Chip Inductors Conserve Space.

Epoxy-encapsulated chip inductors in the GLY series measure 1.6×0.8×0.8 mm (EIA size 0603). The 17 surface-mount devices in the series cover an inductance range of 2.2 to 47 nH.
