Codec delivers two video channels

The DVT45 from ABL Canada carries two channels of NTSC (National TV Systems Committee) video along with six analog audio channels within a 45-Mbps DS3 interface. The codec uses delta-PCM algorithms to compress live video, allowing cable-TV and network providers to carry as many as 96 channels using a synchronous-optical-network OC-48 fiber-optic ring.
