IDT floats life raft for 29K users

In the wake of Advanced Micro Devices' (Sunnyvale, CA) decision to discontinue development of its 29000-based controllers, Integrated Device Technology (IDT) has thrown a life raft to current 29K users. IDT is offering a 29K survival kit that will help users migrate their existing designs to the MIPS processor family. The kit includes free µP evaluation and on-site design reviews, free tools seminars, and a comprehensive product-support program. The evaluation program includes an evaluation board based on the 33-MHz R3081 or the 100-MHz R4700 processor, depending on a user's needs.
