Avanti and Anagram merge

Avanti, which specializes in EDA tools for chip place-and-route and back-end verification tasks, is merging with Anagram, known for its circuit-simulation, timing, and power-analysis software. Avanti plans to use Anagram's technology in the Star family of simulation, timing, power- and noise-analysis, and RC-extraction tools. The deal gives Avanti a basis for extending its deep-submicron digital-EDA tools into analog and mixed-signal areas.
