Kernel vendor adds multitasking debugger

Accelerated Technology has added a kernel-aware, multitasking, source-level debugger to the Nucleus family of embedded-system-development tools. Nucleus UDB provides kernel information for all objects, such as tasks, queues, and semaphores, in a multitasking application based on the Nucleus Plus real-time operating system. The debugger can monitor C source code, assembly code, registers, and global and local variables. Nucleus UDB runs on Windows and Unix hosts and is available for MIPS, i960, ARM, and 29K target processors. Versions for PowerPC, 68k, Hitachi SHx, and x86 µPs will follow. Prices start at $1995 per seat.—by Maury Wright
