Mentor Graphics will use the Internet to distribute its Seamless C-Verification Environment (CVE), a hardware/software coverification tool for embedded designs. The tool costs $75,000 and is available on SunOS, Solaris, and HP-PA platforms. Processor support packages are available for Intel 960 and 80x86 families as well as Motorola 680x0 and 683xx families for $20,000.
The company’s CVE Web site, http://www.mentorg.com/codesign, will include centers for visitors, documentation, release, and integration. The visitors’ center contains background information and a demo of the CVE tool. The documentation center in-cludes all product manuals and release notes in several formats. The release center allows customers to select product components, and the integration center helps third-party developers integrate their products with CVE by providing interface documentation and .—by Richard A Quinnell
