| In multichannel wideband digital receivers, you must allow headroom for the multiple signals. Although the effect is not easy to see in the frequency domain, if you think about the signals in the time domain, you realize that the eight equal signals shown here periodically reach a value whose amplitude is eight times that of any one signal. The receiver must behave in a linear way when subjected to this large peak signal. |
