Finalist: ADAS1128 current-to-digital converter, Analog Devices




High-slice-count CT (computed tomography) systems can capture real-time moving images, such as a beating heart, with a high degree of accuracy and detail. The ADAS1128 is a 128-channel, current-to-digital converter for CT scan-ners. It contains 24-bit converters that change photodiode array signals into digital signals. The product offers simul-taneously sampled 128 data conversion channels, and selectable sample rates up to 20 kSPS. The ADAS1128 con-sumes 4.5 mW/channel at full speed. It has no charge loss, more ranges, and charge noise down to 0.4 fC for low-dose X-ray systems.
