I strongly disagree with the nominations in the 'memory' category. It is an egregious mistake to leave out the innovations in DDR3 and graphics-DDR5 (GDDR5). I'm astonished that the entire DRAM category was passed over. The work they (DRAM designers) do is not as easy as you might think - the continual struggle to build smaller die while at the same time increasing clock frequencies and reliability is an impressive accomplishment. Don't overlook the contributions that DRAM has made to the pervasiveness of PCs and consumer appliances - those folks are the unsung heroes of our tech revolution.
