Electronics supply chain sales waiting for an upturn, IPC reports
US new orders for computer and electronic products remained flat in March after an upturn in February.

The US economy contracted by 6.1% in Q1 of 2009. US new orders for computer and electronic products remained flat in March after an upturn in February. PCB (printed circuit board) and EMS (electronic manufacturing services) shipments continued to decline. The semiconductor shipment index, however, grew in March for the first time since October 2008.
