National’s LM315x controller family comes complete with WEBENCH® Power Designer support, which has been expanded to include a MOSFET selection tool to assist with selection and analysis to provide easy and quick design in. National’s WEBENCH Power Designer provides end-to-end design support and has features for optimizing the system design for cost, size, or efficiency. Along with WEBENCH power designer, the LM315x controller family also features a low external component count of 30-50% less than competitive solutions to enable easy and quick design in. The LM315X family of easy-to-use synchronous buck controllers provides output current capability up to 12A and a wide input voltage range of 6V to 42V to enable design flexibility. In addition, the LM315x family is part of National’s PowerWise® line of products, delivering up to 93% efficiency at 10A load.A switching converter controller that uses external FETs is rarely simple to design. National has combined its new line of controllers with its WEBENCH on-line software to make controller circuits as easy to design as integrated switching regulators. This innovative approach of combining software assistance with hardware to simplify product applications is sure to become a common feature for all switcher regulator manufacturers. |
