Micron Distances itself from Former Employee

Distancing itself from the actions of a former employee, Micron Technology Inc. today acknowledged that worker's agreement to plead guilty to a single count of obstruction of justice.
The former employee, Alfred Censullo, has been charged with obstructing an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice into price fixing of memory devices. Censullo had worked for Micron as one of approximately 50 regional sales managers, the company said.
"The charges against Mr. Censullo relate to his personal actions in the course of the Department of Justice investigation and do not pertain to Micron," said Steve Appleton, chairman, CEO and president, in a statement. "Micron takes compliance with the law very seriously and requires all employees to follow instructions with respect to legal proceedings.
"Mr. Censullo's actions were contrary to the company's instructions," he said. "We have fully and actively cooperated with the Department of Justice since the inception of their investigation, and will continue to do so."
Boise, Idaho-based Micron makes DRAM, flash memory, CMOS and other memory modules.
