Card enables Web and remote development
-- EDN, January 18, 2001
The RabbitLink Ethernet-interface card from Rabbit Semiconductor allows you to download and debug programs over most networks or the Internet (Picture). RabbitLink works with the vendor's Rabbit 2000-based microprocessor systems and Dynamic C programming language. Users can compile, download, run, and debug programs from any network- connected PC running Dynamic C 7.02 or later. You can also use the RabbitLink card to Web-enable any embedded device with a serial port. The card comes preloaded with a static HTML Web server and an SMTP client, allowing Ethernet feedback from your remote embedded system.
The RabbitLink card includes a 22-MHz Rabbit 2000 processor, a 10BaseT Ethernet interface, 128 kbytes of SRAM, and 512 kbytes of flash memory. The RabbitLink card costs $129. A support tool kit is available for $99 and includes a power supply, a programming cable, a manual, software source code, and a plastic enclosure.
