Doctors learn online
-- EDN, January 20, 2000
Acadia Group Inc (Auburn, ME) plans to launch the www.MedLecture.com Web site on Jan 19. The site is the first to offer test-free learning for doctors. Using the site, family physicians can take continuing-education classes via the Internet, proving their attendance just by pushing a button or filling in a pass code at three unexpected points during the hour-long lecture. If doctors don't respond to these prompts, they don't get credit, says John W Holt Jr, chief executive of Acadia Group.
