STMicroelectronics’ new
LSM330D multisensory
MEMS module for consumer-
and portable-system
applications
integrates three-axis
sensing of linear and
angular motion in a
3×5.5×1-mm package.
The iNEMO module with
6° of freedom is almost
20% smaller than competing
devices, according
to the company.
The module combines
a user-selectable fullscale
acceleration range
of 2 to 16g with angularrate
detection of 250
to 2000 dps along the
pitch, roll, and yaw axes.
It includes power-down
and sleep modes in two
embedded FIFO-memory
blocks—one for each
sensor. It can operate
with a supply voltage of
2.4 to 3.6V. The device
is compatible with the
company’s three-axis
accelerometers and
gyroscopes. Price is
$2.75 (1000).
