Smaller surface-mount relay is RF-shielded

Coto Technology's Model 9290 surface-mount reed relay, with a footprint that is 35% smaller than its predecessor, includes external magnetic shielding to minimize interaction between multiple closely spaced channels (Picture). Targeting RF automatic-test equipment and general instrumentation applications, the relay internally uses a high-temperature solder alloy of 95% tin and 5% antimony for process temperatures of 226°C, a benefit in harsh reflow processes. The relay cost $2.08 (5000).
