FROM EDN EUROPE: 1-GHz scopes feature multichannel logic capture
By Graham Prophet -- EDN Europe, 7/10/2003
Agilent has lowered the entry-point cost on its Infiniium mixed-signal oscilloscopes with the 54833D and A models (Picture). The D version offers two full scope channels with 1-GHz bandwidth and as much as 4G samples/sec, together with 16 channels of logic-analysis display (1-bit traces) that are time-aligned with the scope traces. As with the other instruments in the range, you access its features via a Windows XP interface. The A version is a two-channel scope without the logic-analysis feature. In the D, each channel has 2 million points of data memory; each channel in the A has 500,000 points. You can expand each channel. Agilent's MegaZoom feature helps you search the memory space to give you an "instant" response. Pricing for the new instruments is €14,000, or €17,500 for the version with the logic-analysis function.
