By Robert Cravotta -- EDN, 10/16/2003

Accelerated Technology’s Nucleus 802.11 STA supports developers building 802.11b or wireless-Ethernet applications. The 802.11b support plugs seamlessly into the Nucleus Net TCP/IP protocol stack, and it supports infrastructure and ad-hoc mode, WEP (wired-equivalent-privacy) security.

Licenses for Nucleus 802.11 STA are available now, include source without royalty fees, and have fees that start at $7495. The Nucleus RTOS also now supports Alphamosaic (www.alphamosaic.com) VC01 processor, Xilinx’s (www.xilinx.com) MicroBlaze soft processor core, and Intel’s (www.intel.com) IXP4XX family network processors. The Nucleus RTOS software for these processors is available now, and prices start at $12,495.
