Tool speeds and eases pc-board design

Revision 7 of Zuken’s CR-5000 enterprisewide pc-board-design tool integrates System Designer with Board Designer. Customers can integrate CR-5000 with their own custom processes. Engineers using CR-5000 can improve the speed and efficiency of their design and manufacturing processes by using a single system, connecting multiple sites and design teams. The tool provides a front-to-back workflow: System Designer for schematic entry, Board Designer for layout, and Board Producer for panelization.

The product also provides tools for advanced packaging, high-speed prototyping, and wire-harness design and support for buildup and other high-density-interconnect technologies. CR-5000 supports design reuse and partitioning and offers an integrated design-for-manufacturability functions. CR-5000 Revision 7 also offers electrical and mechanical co-design and the ability to produce design variants. Prices for CR-5000 Revision 7 start at $3000 for System Designer and $38,000 for Board Designer.
