TSMC Reports November Sales Dip

Hsinchu, Taiwan-based Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. reported Friday sales for November $760.3 million (24.7 billion new Taiwanese dollars), a decrease of 8 percent sequentially from $818 million (26.8 billion TWD) in October and down 10.2 percent from $846.7 million (27.5 billion TWD) in November 2005.
Still, revenues for January through November totaled $9 billion (291.5 billion TWD), an increase of 22.9 percent over the same period in 2005.
TSMC still managed to maintain its lead over rival foundry UMC, which also reported last week that its sales fell for the third month in a row.
