MIPS inks new licensing agreements with PMC-Sierra
According to MIPS, the code-compatible cores offer scalable solutions from entry-level designs to 1 GHz and beyond.

MIPS Technologies Inc has licensed additional cores to PMC-Sierra for its next-generation communications and storage solutions.
MIPS, a provider of industry-standard architectures, processors, and analog IP, today announced the deal with its long-time licensee PMC-Sierra that includes MIPS’ highest performance single-threaded cores, multi-threaded cores, and its new multi-threaded, multiprocessor IP core, the MIPS32 1004KT Coherent Processing System.
According to MIPS, the code-compatible cores offer scalable solutions from entry-level designs to 1 GHz and beyond.
