Retired TI exec Delfassy takes helm at Anadigics
With the resignation of CEO Dr. Bami Bastani, retired Texas Instruments senior executive Gilles Delfassy, now chairman of Anadigics, will lead the company through this transition to a new CEO.

Warren, NJ-based broadband wireless and wireline semiconductor company Anadigics Inc reported today that its president and CEO, Dr. Bami Bastani (pictured, left) is resigning, and Gilles Delfassy has been appointed chairman of the board.
Delfassy has been a director of Anadigics since January, and will assume the responsibilities of the CEO until the company has found a permanent replacement.
Delfassy (pictured, right) is a respected industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in global business development and wireless technology. He led Texas Instruments’ wireless terminals business unit since its inception in 1995, growing it into a multibillion dollar operation. He is credited with making TI the world's leading supplier of semiconductors for wireless handsets. Prior to that, he managed TI’s European digital signal processing operations and its European automotive electronics business. He retired from TI in early 2007.
Commenting on Bastani’s time at the company, Ron Rosenzweig, founder of Anadigics and vice chairman of the board said in a statement, “Bami has made a significant contribution to Anadigics by guiding us over the past 10 years. We thank Bami and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Regarding the appointment of Delfassy, Rosenzweig said, “Gilles is the ideal person to move the company forward during our CEO search. His extensive understanding of the semiconductor industry coupled with his knowledge of our customers and his experience in managing a business with high-volume manufacturing operations will help ensure a smooth transition.”
Finally, Delfassy added, “Anadigics is a great company with innovative technology and talented people. I am looking forward to working more closely with the team. We will work hard to make sure we keep the confidence and trust of our customers during this transition and beyond.”
