Different people can look at the same set of factors and forecast quite different results. Through aggregation, though, a more balanced picture often emerges.
That's the idea behind the December-January survey of expected growth for the printed circuit board (PCB) and electronic manufacturing services (EMS) conducted by the Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronics Circuits (IPC) in Northbrook, IL.
The IPC surveyed 229 managers in four segments of the electronics industry: PCB vendors, EMS companies, PCB suppliers and OEMs.
