From the design website Anna Gram: These French designers have taken the perennial science fair project and turned it into a work of art. The makers claim it runs for about a week before you need to swap out the lemon.

Naah. Citroens use a grapefruit. Lemons are for Renaults.

Nice! It may be considered a luxury item if one does not have a citrus tree. Have you seen the price of lemons lately? Cool idea.

Now I suppose the French want to take credit for the Lemon. After all, I don't see anything remarkable or artsy-fartsy about the clock or powering it from Voltaire pile. A disposable dry cell would require less energy abd resources compared to a year's worth of Lemons....

INteresting idea , although not new.In eighties Spencer (gift outlet) used to sell "potato clocks" powered of course by a spud.I will e-mail you a picture of it.It is cool and still works. As for price and other concerns, lemon clock will work until a lemon dries out and it is a GREEN ENERGY! Thank you for a post.I will have to get one for my clock collection.Have a wonderful weekend.

We should not confuse art with engineering even though they are sometimes the same.
