Cadence has confirmed to EDN Friday evening that it has acquired CommandCAD.
I received a response from a Cadence spokesman shortly after filing my previous post on the rumor of the acquisition. “[CommandCAD] have some interesting technology that is complementary to ongoing DFM solutions being developed at Cadence,”said the Cadence spokesman. The company is not providing “any further details” but will “update when there is more to report.”
If Cadence does not make an official announcement of the acquisition, it will likely report the acquisition price in its next quarterly filing with the SEC.
