Mentor Graphics Precision Synthesis 2006a2: Advanced synthesis-tool suite supports Spartan-DSP series

The Pecision Synthesis 2006a2 suite of advanced synthesis products supports Xilinx’s Spartan-DSP series, and support for the vendor’s LeonardoSpectrum tool suite will follow. The suite features support for ASIC prototyping, including DesignWare libraries, SDC (Synopsys Design Constraints), and gated-clock handling. The tool also provides implementation and optimization techniques, such as automatic mapping and inferencing of dedicated DSP and RAM blocks. The Precision Synthesis 2006a2 tool suite costs $17,600.
