After going 5-2 in the qualifying matches, Team Hyper 69 won two quarterfinal matches, but lost two semifinal matches and was eliminated from this weekend's Boston Regional Competition.
Team Hyper competed in the quarters and semis in an alliance with two other Mass. teams: Team 126, Gael Force from Clinton High School, and Team 2593, Brobot from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.
The eventual regional champion teams were Team 61, Shifters from Upton, MA; Team 190, Gompei and the H.E.R.D. from Worcester Polytechnic Institute; and Team 1099, Lions from Brookfield, CT. Team 61 had the competition's best record at 13-1. All three teams will advance to the national competition later this year in Atlanta.
