At a recent editorial meeting, I confessed to my peers that I occasionally used the "But honey, I need it for work" pitch to get my geek gear requests past the all-important Spousal Acceptance Factor approval point (if my wife sees this post, the game's over, so let's keep it a secret between us, ok?). If you've been lusting after a Mac Mini but are facing a similar review process, a recently-published article from IBM, 'An embedded view of the Mac Mini', might just be the ticket. You could also point to the expanding number of software developers who are using Macs as their hardware platform. Heck, even Linus Torvalds is now using a Mac.....although he's running Linux on it, of course.
