Got electronics to toss that you know shouldn’t end up in a landfill? Here are two options.
Electronic Recyclers Inc. through the Big Fresno Fair this Saturday is offering free electronic waste recycling from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There is no limit on how many items you can bring to recycle, but there is a limit on what’s accepted. Electronic Recyclers will be taking electronics including cell phones and plug-ins, but nothing containing Freon.

The Big Fresno Fairgrounds
1121 S. Chance Avenue
Fresno, Ca. 93702.
Enter the parking lot off of Kings Canyon Boulevard, just east of Chance Avenue (Gate 6) Call 559-650-FAIR for more info.
Also, if you have cell phones to recycle this holiday season and have been shopping Amazon.com for gifts, check your boxes for the included “Cell Phones for Soldiers” cell phone recycling envelope.
Drop an old cell phone with the power turned off in the pre-paid envelope and Cell Phones for Soldiers will pass it along to ReCellular, a company that refurbishes, reuses and recycles the phones, giving Cell Phones for Soldiers phone cards worth about an hour of talk time for each handset that they collect. Those cards are in turn sent to the troops.
You can also print out free shipping labels from their Web site.
