Intellectual Property protection is a hot topic—and will continue to be.
I’m sure you recall the buzz that occurred at the end of April when the Supreme Court adopted a new standard that will make it easier for patents to be denied or challenged on the grounds that the invention is too obvious to deserve patent protection. There was buzz—and lots of questions. Business Strategy tried to put this in perspective for you with articles that analyzed the decision.
The key is having experts analyze rulings and put them into perspective for you. That’s exactly what we’ve done with a new, monthly e-mail newsletter, IP Expert Advice, which we launched last week. We assembled a stable of legal and industry experts who will cover the hot IP issues and also answer your questions.
If you have an IP-related question or a topic you would like us to cover in a future issue, please email me at debra.bulkeley@reedbusiness.com.
Whether you are an engineer wanting to protect your innovative idea or an executive who wants to protect your company’s product innovation, understanding the laws surrounding IP protection is critical. So if you haven’t already, sign up for IP Expert Advice today.
Register for the free monthly newsletter by going to our registration page at http://www.edn.com/subscribe.asp. Scroll down to Business Strategy, and check off the box next to “IP Expert Advice.” I’m sure you will find this newsletter useful.
