Friday funnies, burning seawater

November 9, 2007

And in yet anther tribute to the technical ignorance of the mainstream media, and for your Friday enjoyment, I present this serious article on how a researcher has found he can burn water by subjecting it to RF energy. Yes, he is disassociating it into hydrogen and oxygen and only a few of the more sensible comments to the article seem to understand that conservation of energy is a law, not a suggestion or a recommendation or an untested theory. Of course the RF energy to disassociate the water molecule will be more than the energy gotten from burning the water. Sigh. Cold fusion all over again. Maybe he can team up with that MIT guy that can transmit power using “directed RF” and his magic monopole that transmits magnetic energy without electrical fields. James Clerk Maxwell is rolling over in his grave, as is Joe Priestley.

Someone should raise money to develop an engine that runs on something more convenient than water - AIR. Just needs the addition of a small amount of liquid, but runs mainly on air. After taking the money and running, can tell everyone it's already developed, called the "internal combustion" engine.

Maybe it was several loops around the planet at about warp .5 which created the time shift. Darn networks... ;-). Google this water to fuel subject, and you'll find lots of idiots out there promising a free lunch "run your car on water" and the like.

I absolutely agree with your comments. However I wish to report a much more impressive feat than perpetual motion : I'm talking time travel here. This post is dated Friday 9th November 1.27 am and yet here I am in the UK writing this comment on Thursday 8th November 2.37pm. Yes I know there's say 6 hours time difference, but that means it should be (say) 8.37am on Thursday 8th where you are. So somehow your message has been transmitted backwards in time. Now that is a breakthrough. Got any good sports results I can bet on ?
