It's (Almost) Always The Mechanics That Fail....

….isn’t it? After nearly three years’ worth of hard use, my Dell laptop’s keyboard has half-failed (only around 50% of the keys produce the expected result when pressed). Cleaning it seems to have made the problem worse! And of course, I have an article due today….

Courtesy of a quick dash to Radio Shack, I’m limping along with an external USB keyboard and mouse, and fortunately I bought the three-year extended warranty on this system. I’ll send it in for repairs….and will likely donate it to charity upon its return. I guess I’ll be migrating to the MacBook sooner versus later, and out of necessity versus desire….
