Peer Praise: Shall I Toot My Own Horn?

After much waffling and gnashing of teeth, I’ve decided….I shall (scroll to the bottom of the page). Here’s the accompanying press release and brochure (PDF) for last Thursday night’s award banquet (which no, I didn’t attend….coast-to-coast travel expenses, donchaknow?). ASBPE is the American Society of Business Publication Editors; a pretty goldurned prestigious society, so I’m told.

I decided to come out of the closet on this one, bucking my traditional tendency towards anonymity, because the achievement was due in no small part to all of you. Your public and private participation, your feedback (even when I didn’t necessarily like what you said) and your encouragement all shaped my content’s focus, format, style and quantity. So kudos to you all for your contributions!

For completeness, I should point out that EDN also won several other awards, both at the national (editorial and design) and regional levels. Gratifying? You betcha. My five minutes of basking in the glow are now over; back to work….
