End-Of-Workweek Video Distracts: POTS and Cats
Another Friday, another Brian’s Brain-delivered labor diversion. First, check out this clip of a 300 baud acoustic coupler originally built in 1964, which someone with obviously far too much spare time on his hands used to log onto Wikipedia via the Lynx open-source text-only web browser:
Puts my mom’s struggle to obtain rural broadband in perspective, doesn’t it?
A bit over a year ago, I shared a classic clip called ‘An Engineer’s Guide To Cats‘ with you, which to date has been viewed almost 4 million times on YouTube alone:
Last weekend, my friend Eric alerted me to a follow-up from engineers Paul Klusman and TJ Wingard, ‘An Engineer’s Guide To Cat Yodeling‘ (which will make more sense if you watch the above clip first):
And in perusing Klusman’s other content, I came across ‘An Engineer’s Guide To Voting‘ which, although somewhat dated now that last November’s elections are over, is still worth 7 minutes of your life (in my humble opinion, at least):
Courtesy of the GPS coordinates that briefly appear on-screen, you’ll learn that Klusman and Wingard live south of Wichita, Kansas. I’m guessing they’re Airbus employees…
Happy weekend, all ![]()
