AMD: Business Fundamentals Lead To Strange Bedfellows
August 9, 2007
Greetings from SIGGRAPH. Believe it or not, there’s an Intel CPU-based Dell system in AMD’s booth, mated to an ATI FireGL graphics board. There’s also an AMD CPU-based system partnered with an NVIDIA Quadro graphics card. But, one month prior to the AMD ‘Barcelona’ quad-core 2 GHz launch, there’s not a Barcelona-based system to be found either on the show floor or in AMD’s private booth, from whence I’ve just come.
Draw your own conclusions, folks. Care to share?
