Chagrin

February 16, 2006

In my beefed-up web version of today's EDN issue's Prying Eyes column, I referred to ADPCM as a lossless audio codec. Astute reader Steve Yuen from ValenceTech (or so I presume, judging from his email address) gently pointed out to me just now that, in fact, ADPCM is a lossy codec. And reader Agesino Primatic from Aastra Digital Video also pointed out that wherever I said 'I2C', I meant 'I2S'. They're both right, of course, and in retrospect I haven't a clue why I stated otherwise. My deepest apologies for leading you all astray ;-)
