Connectivity Kudos
There's one other short-but-sweet thing I wanted to say about today's bandwidth-boosting undertaking, before heading off to bed. I took advantage of the opportunity afforded by the LAN revamp to do some long-overdue 'spring cleaning'; swapping out legacy switches for faster and/or additional-port replacements, unplugging (and later re-plugging) connectors so that I could figure out (and label!) which CAT5e cables went to which LAN clients, doing miscellaneous firmware upgrades, etc. Through it all, the LAN (including the router feeding it, and its two powerline spurs) kept humming along without a single hiccup. I was frankly flabbergasted that my replumbing project was so trouble-free. And I'm indebted to all of you, whose engineering expertise and hard work fed into the technologies that led to my smooth-sailing day. So….thank you. Believe me, it was such a relief to have everything wrapped up (and cleaned up) ahead of my wife's return home from work earlier this evening….;-)
