Wired on O'Reilly

No, not that O'Reilly. I'm a big fan of O'Reilly's books and conferences, and thought you might enjoy reading an interesting interview Wired did with the company's founder, Tim O'Reilly, in their latest print issue. The Slashdot discussion is here.

O'Reilly's optimistic view of the future is reminiscent of that exhibited by Ray Kurzweil, whose latest book was recently reviewed in the Wall Street Journal (link is to the Slashdot discussion of the review). Both pundits' outlooks are at odds with that of Bill Joy, whose pessimistic views I reluctantly admit I more closely align with.
