Having Shared A PS3 Deal With You....
….two days ago, today it’s the Xbox 360’s turn. The Premium version is selling for $329.99 right now at Amazon. Will you succeed in snagging one of the new HDMI-inclusive upgrades (I suspected back when I did my Prying Eyes teardown of the console that Microsoft would eventually go this route, standardizing on a common system board design)? Dunno, but regardless it’s a great deal, $20 above and beyond the $50 markdown (from the previous $399.99) that Microsoft announced (and numerous leaked retailer advertisement snapshots pre-announced) at the beginning this week.
Newegg’s also running a $20-off coupon promotion (with purchase via PayPal) that covers this and other stocked Xbox 360 SKUs, as well as anything else $100 or more (such as the now-$20-less-expensive Xbox 360 HD DVD player, complete with five free movies) in the retailer’s product inventory.
Hoping for an even lower price? Computer Geeks is selling refurbished 20 GByte Premium (aka ‘Platinum’) systems for $277.99 after you apply coupon code 4DEALS, and through August 31. Refurbished 120 GByte ‘Platinum’ systems cost $389.99. And GameStop’s stocking refurbished Core (note: HDD-less) systems for $189.99, complete with a free used game of $29.99-or-less value. If you later decide you want a HDD, you can always pick one up for an incremental $49.99….
