Apple's iPhone: iUnlocked
Anyone want to guess how long it’ll take for Apple to release a firmware upgrade that fixes the buffer overflow error which the Phone Dev Team exploited, thereby returning the iPhone to its AT&T service shackles…a firmware upgrade that also ‘accidentally’ cripples phones owned by folks who’ve done the unlock?

Please comment here with your experiences and results, if you try it. I’ll probably pass, at least for now, although if I could easily Bluetooth-tether the phone to my laptop and use the phone as an EDGE modem (i.e. not need to use an awkward workaround) I’d be more enthused.
If you don’t already own an iPhone, I’d suggest you snag a brand-new $299 4 GByte version (before inventory’s depleted) or a $349 refurbished 8 GByte model, to minimize your project investment cost in case the exploit fails now or in the future.
A GUI-based version of iUnlocked is on the way.
