A no-Photoshop-required sign of the times: HP's latest digital cameras ship with a feature that'll auto-slim the visages of folks whose images the cameras capture (commentary by BoingBoing and Gizmodo). Explain to me again just what reality is, and how I can be sure I'm experiencing it?
Regarding this item's title: A CBS promotional magazine containing an article on Katie Couric's recent career change to news anchor of "CBS Evening News" included a retouched photo that made her look significantly slimmer than she actually is.
