A Refurb PSU = A Great Deal For You

April 3, 2008

Back in late July of last year, I told you about a solution I’d cobbled together to deal with the lack of an Apple-branded or third party-sanctioned accessory (i.e. cigarette lighter) socket-based power supply for my MacBook. Mikegyver’s cable (he sells versions for the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air) tethers to a Kensington model 33197 AC/DC adapter, which is currently on sale refurbished for $19.99 at J&R.

My cable-plus-PSU combo worked great on all five flights that comprised my recent Right Coast trip; I’d used SeatGuru to pick locations with convenient power access. Have at it, folks!
