Hybrid HDDs: Keeping Up-To-Date

In last week's Hybrid and Solid-State HDD essay, I mentioned that Western Digital was not an announced member of the Hybrid Storage Alliance. WD's director of public relations, Steve Shattuck, dropped me a line on Thursday to let me know that "WD is now a participating member of the group. We were not included in the news release as a founding member but we are now listed on their site."

I'm still not sold on the idea that hybrid HDDs are going to be huge sellers, but it's at least good to know that all the majour players are now involved.
