Book Review: Biometric Technologies and Verification Systems by John R. Vacca

March 20, 2008

Learn about biometric measurement and verification techniques’ strong and weak points.  Biometric Technologies and Verification Systems by John R. Vacca delves into many different biometric technologies beyond the common ones such as fingerprints and retinas and goes into body odors, hand geometries and other personal characteristics.

Although I’d hate to have my personal bank account tied to my body odor (what if I change my deodorant?), the need for ways to secure important and valuable information will be an ever expanding industry.  This book received Jon Titus’ thumbs up as a place to begin learning about this important field.
