Qspeed Semiconductor Q-Series LQA03TC600, LQA05TC600, and LQA08TC600: Rectifier family claims a 1.5% increase in boost-converter-gain efficiency

The LQA03TC600, LQA05TC600, and LQA08TC600 make up the Q-Series rectifier family targeting PFC (power-factor-correction) circuits providing 200 to 1000W of power. The vendor claims a 0.5 to 1.5% improvement in boost-converter stage, compared with other ultrafast diodes. The LQA03TC600, LQA05TC600, and LQA08TC600 feature 3, 5, and 8A continuous forward current values, and 17.5-, 27-, and 36-nC reverse-recovery charge, respectively. The 3A LQA03TC600 costs 78 cents, the 5A LQA05TC600 costs 88 cents, and the 8A LQA08TC600 costs $1.08 (50,000).
